Welcome to Dick's Taxidermy... Master Taxidermist Dick Galgovitch has 20 years of experience. Dick is an avid outdoorsman with extensive knowledge of native animals and their environment. Dick has won many Blue Ribbon awards and several Best of Category Awards all over New England for his Artistic Mounts. Dick is a member of the Maine Association of Taxidermists, The National Association of Taxidermists, Safari Club International and is an active member and a Director of the Safari Club of Maine.

Dick's Taxidermy is a full service taxidermy shop specializing in life size mountings, game heads, birds, fish and much more. No matter what you bring in to be mounted, even African work like zebras, Lions, Impalas or Cape Buffalos, you'll be amazed at the finished product.



Our License & Insurance: We are State and Federally licensed. Your taxidermy mounts are covered by insurance while in our possession.


Pelts for Sale: If you are not a hunter,we have a the variety of pelts in stock that can be purchased to create a "one of a kind" mount

Call in Advance: We recommend that you call us on your hunting or fishing trip for shipping tags and instructions on how to best preserve your trophies for mounting. Artistic mounts and bases.

Services: Skin and reproduction Fish Mounts. Fire & smoke damaged repairs. Refurbishing & insurance appraisals. 21 years experience. Commercial and Competition Mounts.

Timeframe: Expect your mounts to be completed 9 - 12 months after we receive them. Partial payment due when hides are dropped off.
