PowderKegg Wildlife Preserve is located in Cassatt, South Carolina. We offer hunts for Trophy Whitetail Deer.

During the last twenty years, we have built three ponds, dams, road systems throughout the thousand acres, a residence lodge, fish camp, out buildings, Deer stands & condo Deer stands, 8 stall stable, jumping arena, dressage arena & fencing, gazebo and arched bridge. We have created an environment to attract local Whitetail Deer. We have spent alot in materials to build the high fencing that surrounds the Hunting Preserve. This fence allows the preserve to be maintained resulting in mature Trophy Whitetail Deer native to South Carolina and an abundance of wildlife.



Overnight Hunting Reservations: require a non-refundable Hunting Deposit per hunter per night (which covers lodging and meals). 'Hunting Deposits' apply to the cost of buck taken. After taking your Buck, you can take a Doe at no charge.
Fishing is available between hunts at no charge (hunter responsible for bringing their own bait & tackle).
Children under the age of 16 are not required to pay a deposit.
Overnight Adult Non-Hunting Guests require a non-refundable deposit per adult guest per night which covers lodging and meals, and this deposit is not applied to another hunter's costs.

Single day non-overnight hunts requires: non-refundable hunting deposit per day per hunter. 'Hunting Deposits' apply to the cost of Buck taken, except for Does. If arranged in advance and overnight guests are present, single day non overnight hunters may purchase meals. Please call 2 days ahead. All South Carolina Department of Natural Resources rules and regulations apply to all hunts. Please keep your guns & ammo locked in your vehicle when not hunting.

Taxidermy: and deer processing are available but are not included in the above costs. The guides will clean and field dress your deer for a per deer fee. Guides can take your deer to local processor for an agreed upon fee.

Accommodations: Our fully furnished Main lodge includes pool table, big screen TV, sound system, fireplace, outside covered hot tub, two full bathrooms, kitchen and great room, & will accommodate ten hunters. Gratuity (Tips) for guides and cooks is not required, but greatly appreciated. Our guides and cooks try very hard to see that you get the hunting experience you desire. At the end of your trip, this practice is a stately way to show your appreciation.
