Cutawhiskie Creek Outfitters is your complete hunting outfitter. We are located in Menola, NC, 12 miles outside of Ahoskie, NC. Menola is in the SW corner of Hertford County, which is in the heart of the best Whitetail Deer hunting in North Carolina. Our 4,100 acres of prime hunting land in Hertford, NorthHampton, Bertie, Tyrrell, Currituck, and Camden counties with numerous hunting stands. All of our land is composed of a mixture of swamp bottoms, hardwoods, pine blocks, thickets, marshlands, and grain fields. Cutawhiskie Creek Outfitters is a guide service that does our best to help you experience that hunt of a lifetime. We have a vision of what a good hunting service should be and we want to convey that to our guests.

Limited Hunts: To ensure a personalized hunting experience we limit the number of hunters to 4-6 per week during Archery Season and 6-10 during Gun Season. This will ensure low hunting pressures on owned and leased property.



Whitetail Deer Hunting: We offer the largest deer seasons in the United States extending from early September until January 1. Our state's limit is six deer per season, which also includes a limit of two deer per day. This summer we have added more food plots and minerals to ensure the proper antler growth and health of our herd. Summer management food plots are the most important thing for the mass and antler growth of whitetail deer. As you will see in our photo gallery, we also have many feeders for corn and peanuts that work wonderfully. We feed year round!!!!!!



Stands: we offer a wide variety of stands located over various types of woods and food plots. We have tower stands, ladder stands and others. Shooting distance can range from 5 feet to 400 yards.

Clay McPherson, Owner of Cutawhiskie Creek Outfitters: member of the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA), has practiced Trophy Deer Management Strategies on the property for several years. These strategies apply to all hunters on our land. No bucks harvested under 8 pts, unless it's a mature mgmnt. Buck. No Doe harvest is allowed in November unless authorized. Hunters will be able to harvest 2 Trophy Bucks 8 pts or better. This allows for an increased number of yearling Bucks.


The Hunt: Our hunts start early in the morning after coffee and biscuits at the lodge, about one hour before sunrise. Our guest will be given a VHF Radio and will be dropped off close to the stand they draw and will walk to ensure not to disturb any trophy deer nearby. This method has worked wonderful in the past. We do not use any motor vehicles unless needed to pick up harvested game. As a part of our commitment to giving each hunter a personalized hunting experience, we can walk or drive hunters directly to thier stand and assist them in and out quietly and safely if they choose us too. We provide the ride on all electric UTV's due to most of our stands locations are in extremely remote areas. We have numerous handheld VHF radios to ensure the comfort of all of our hunters. Some may want to hunt longer than others. Radios come in very handy. Most hunts go until 11a-12n and then lunch is served. Then head straight back out about 3-4 hrs before dusk for your evening hunt. Hunters may stay in their stand all day if they choose too!!!!

(No antler restrictions for hunters 12 & under). All Predators are free for everyone!!!!!!!!! (bobcat, fox, coyote)

Taxidermy: Stony Creek Taxidermy The services of Stoney Creek Taxidermy will be available upon the harvest of a Trophy Deer, Turkey, or Bear. They are located several miles away from the property and will be pleased to assist any hunter with their services. Not only is Drap Harrell and his son Jason known in Northeastern North Carolina, but they are well known across the country for their excellent work! See photos for some beautiful mounts.




Lodging: Accommodations for up to 12 people are available in our comfortable, heated and air conditioned, two story hunting lodge located on the property. We have satellite TV, and Internet Access as well. The guest rooms consist of 6 singles upstairs, and 2 Bunk Beds and a Queen in the downstairs room!! Washrag's,Towels, soap, and shampoo are included as well.

Packages: include your stay at our hunting lodge plus 2 1/2 meals a day. Coffee, doughnuts, Sasauge biscuits, cereal, for breakfast. Lunch around 11-12, and delicious home cooked meals every night for dinner.
