Tracy Weyer and Hidden Valley Outfitters specialize in Elk, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Antelope, Turkey, Upland birds, Varmints, Black Bear and Mountain Lion hunts for rifle, muzzleloader and archery. Located in E. Montana, our fair chase hunts are on private property in Montana and North Dakota as well as the Lewis and Clark National Forest in central Montana. The hunting camps vary from tents, trailers, and cabins to our home based lodge in some of the best known Deer country in Montana, Powder River, Milk River, and Yellowstone River drainage's.

Trophy Elk Hunts - Rifle & Archery: take place on the Lewis and Clark National Forest Lands and bordering private ranches. The terrain varies from rolling hills, grasslands, creek bottoms to heavy timbered mountains with semi open parks. Hunting is done with the aid of 4×4 trucks, 4 wheelers and hiking. Archery Elk season is in September with heavy timber, good populations of Elk and the Rut, high opportunities and success are available. Rifle Elk season is the last week of October and all of November. The first three weeks of season is Antlered Bulls only and the last week is either sex for Elk. Hunters that are 12-14 years old may hunt either sex Elk all season long. We offer half price hunts for young hunters,
making this an excellent daughter or son hunt with parents.


Mule Deer Hunts - Rifle: takes place on very large private ranches. Terrain varies from rolling grasslands to rough canyons. There are open fields of grain and meadows of hay that lead up to heavy Pine and Cedar. You will often see 20-50 Deer daily.

Whitetail Deer Hunts - Rifle: terrain consists of river bottoms with large hay and grain fields leading up to dry, rough, rolling grasslands with broken patches of trees and brush spread throughout the hills. We Yellowstone River, Milk River, Tongue River, Powder River, Missouri River, Little Missouri River and Musselshell River . The best time to hunt our Big Bucks is during the November Rut. This hunt is a great chance to get that Trophy Whitetail of a lifetime.



Mule Deer & Whitetail Deer Hunts - Archery:
excellent hunt for the bowhunter enthusiast. With the help of pre-season scouting and some of the best Deer country in Eastern Montana, we pattern our Deer to and from their bedding and feeding areas, thus enabling us with the aid of pits, stands, blinds, decoys and/or stalking to get you within range. Quite often we will see 3 or more mature Bucks traveling together during bow season.




Merriam Turkey Hunts: private land. Spring season (mid April - mid May) offers a 2 Bird limit. Fall season (Sep. - Dec. 15) offers a 1 bird limit. Lodging is in a cabin with hot showers and 3 meals daily. Max. 8 hunters.

Our hunts are semi-guided to fully guided. Over the counter licenses are available for purchase when you arrive in Montana. This is truly a "Gobbler Hunt" you do not want to miss.



Mountain Lion/Cougar Hunts: take place on the Lewis and Clark National Forest Lands as well as some bordering private ranches. Season is Dec. 1 - Feb. 15. Deadline for license application is Aug. 1. Excellent populations of Lion with high success with the aid of dogs, snow shoes and snow machines. This can be a physical hunt.

Archery Antelope Hunts: excellent hunt for the bowhunter. The Antelope hunt is much like the Deer hunt except we do more decoying and stalking to bring the mature herd Bucks in close enough for a good shot. Often during the Rut a Buck will come within 10 yards or even attempt to run over you and the decoy. This can be one of the most exciting and unforgettable hunts you will ever encounter.


Deer & Antelope Rifle Combo Hunts: a great 1st time hunt with lots of action & high success for both species. Hunt is very similar to our Mule Deer & Antelope hunts except we combine the two for an affordable hunt. This is your chance to take 2 North American Big Game animals in one trip.

Black Bear Hunts: on the Lewis and Clark National Forest Lands, bordering private ranches. Season, mid April - May 31. Deadline for license app. is Apr. 14. Excellent populations of Bear, high success by spot & stalk hunting. NO use of dogs or baiting permitted in Montana.


Buffalo Hunts: we have partnered up with a ranch in South Dakota to offer some exciting Buffalo Hunts. Ranch is located near the small town of Buffalo, SD. This is an exciting 2-3 day hunt for "Trophy", 10 yr old + Bulls. You will stay at the 8,500 acre ranch, with a herd of almost 500 Buffalo. Includes transportation to/from Rapid City Regional Airport, lodging and meals. Hunter will receive the meat, hide, head and horns of the Buffalo. Cow hunts, meat Bull hunts and Trophy Bull hunts are available. All animals taken will be delivered to a local processing facility. Hunter is responsible for all meat processing charges and taxidermy work. Best time to hunt is Dec.-Feb. when the hides are in great condition.
