Russell and Michele Edwards own and operate Tradewater Upland Outfitters, a 1000 acre hunting preserve dedicated to resource management and wildlife stewardship.

The Bare Bottom Lodge was established in 1999, as a family retreat and hunting location. What began as a 1500 Sq. Ft. log cabin set upon 55 acres has expanded to include a two bedroom 1000 Sq. Ft bunkhouse that sleeps up to 8 people and an additional 1000 acres of prime bottom land.

Archery Season: September 3 - January 16,2005
Peak Archery season begins in western KY, the first week in October. The first cold snap of the season brings with it the beginning of pre-rut, and the woods start showing signs of what is to come.

WILD TURKEY SEASON
Fall Archery Season: September 3 - January 16
This is a Bow hunters bonanza, If you can hit'em you can get'em!!! Our farm boasts an awesome abundance of Turkeys, and it gets better every year. With all the cover we have for our Upland birds the turkey never want for food, combine a deer / turkey combination hunt this season.

Upland Preserve Season: October 1 - March 31

QUAIL - Hunt quail at a rigorous pace with pointed birds every few minutes. We have gone to great lengths to provide an experience you won't soon forget. Flexible scheduling allows you and your party to spend quality time in the field as well as the lodge. The perfect way to entertain customers or visit with old hunting friends.

PHEASANT / PARTRIDGE / CHUKAR
We use Labrador Retrievers to flush these "Crackers" so have your gun and your shooting skill at the ready, its fast and it"s fun!! European Pheasant Shoots are available in lots of 100 birds or more. This makes a great corporate outing.

MALLARD DUCK
Having trouble finding a limit of "greenheads"? Come hunt flooded timber on the Tradewater River. We provide the blinds, decoys, dogs, calls and hot coffee all you need is a good pair of chest waders and a sharp eye, the ducks will do the rest!!!
