Located along the Ohio River, our property is some of the richest agricultural land in Illinois. This high quality food source intermixed with the rolling hardwood forests provide some of the best whitetail habitat in the world.

Ohio River Outfitters owns a large portion of its properties and leases the surrounding private lands. This ensures large continuous tracts of semi-wooded agricultural land, which holds trophy bucks on the property.

With 5,300 acres of great habitat whitetails are able to thrive and reach maturity at 3.5 years. Pope and Young bucks are seen on a daily basis.

Illinois ranks number 1 in the nation for non-typical Pope and Young entries, and number one overall in B&C entries. Ohio River Outfitters has practiced a rack buck management system for the past seven years. We were one of the first outfitters to manage for trophy class whitetails in our area. Our 16" minimum on harvestable bucks allow our hunters to see several mature bucks during their hunt.

We specialize in 3-5 day bowhunting packages which include guide, meals and lodging. Your guide will take you to and from your stand locations at your request. After the hunt, your guide will field dress, weigh, and provide trophy care for your whitetail. Processing can be done locally for a small fee or you may process your deer at the lodge.

To ensure our guests a quality bowhunting experience, we limit bowhunter numbers.

Lodges overlook the river and prime bowhunting grounds. You can build a fire and discuss the days hunt over a terrific meal prepared by our wonderful cooks. The atmosphere of the lodges is comforting after a full day of bowhunting.
