Hunting in Alaska for Brown Bear and Dall Sheep
|
Alaska's
Extreme Hunting Guides & consultants is a "Very Small and Personalized
Guide Service"We book a total of 8 hunters a year. 4 Sheep, 4 Brown
Bear.
Hunter Success is our priority. We do not overbook. Our philosophy is
simple, work closely with Alaska State Biologists, collecting data relevant
to species, minimal harvest of area, game rich environment, using our
own professional knowledgeable hunting guides with extensive experience
of area and species, guiding with great enthusiasm, and dedication, with
sensitivity and priority to each hunter, working together with our hunters
as a team is what works for us.
We
want the hunter to clearly define his expectations to us so he may experience
a truly "Alaskan Wilderness Experience" great camp environment
and companionship. the best accommodations possible, safety, and developing
lifelong friendships.
What Hunting is to us: to search, track stalk, ambush or call a
wild animal with the intent to shoot it by some means that will cause
"Zero" or minimal suffering. The quantified results of the hunt
are relative to each own hunters standards. We base our success on those
standards.
Spring
& Fall Bear Hunts: 1 guide per 1 hunter. Hunts are conducted on
foot in mountainous terrain, coastal areas and in valley areas. This hunt
takes place during the Spring in even years 2006, 2008, etc. May 10 -
25 and during the Fall in odd years 2007, 2009, etc. Oct 1 - 21.
This is a fair chase hunt. We slow down the pace so the hunter can spend
more time executing the hunt.
Hunting
Area: Brown Bear hunts take place on the Alaska Peninsula in Game
Unit 9. The Dept of Fish and Game has designated this area as a trophy
class area. We have spent 2 years in our area without clients identifying
Bear usage patterns and bear population. Our guides have concluded some
hunters will have an opportunity to harvest potential world record class
brown bears.
We are now booking the 1st group of 4 hunters for the upcoming spring
brown bear hunt.
Transportation to hunting area is via float plane to base camp on a remote
lake.
Sheep
Hunting: 10 day hunt, 1 guide per 1 hunter. We offer 20 years experience.
This hunt normally takes place August 10th. Climb into rocky bowls or
on steep terrain after the coveted Dall Sheep. Look down from vantage
points to gaze on the valley below. Hunts take place in the Chugach Mountain
Range. Units 13 & 14.
If you are in Sheep Shape and want to experience this tremendous hunt,
we welcome you to join our family of hunters. We are happy to provide
