Hunting:
The terrain in our area of Afognak is composed
of lowlands and areas of up to 1,000 feet elevation, forested and non-forested
and many beaches. This setting has approximate success rates of the following:
about 60% for unguided and guided elk, respectively; 95% overall for Brown
Bear and 100% for deer and duck. Hunters did their part in establishing
these success rates by being in good physical condition.
