This Antique Rocking Chair was a conversation piece in an antique store. (Yankee Craftsman in Wayland, Massachusetts) for many years, and was not for sale. I had my eye on it for a long time, and when the store changed its format and made it available for sale, I bought it. Alas, we are breaking up our family vacation cottage, and I need to sell it.

The Rocking Chair is at least 100 years old. I do not know the exact date. It came from a Canadian Hunting Lodge.

It is made of heavily grained hardwood (I do not know what species). There is one minor chip on one of the arms. There are no other flaws and is otherwise in excellent condition.


I had the leather seat put on it, and the back is animal fur. The fur back and leather are in excellent condition.

The dimensions are length 44”, width 36”, and height 54”.

This unique chair would look great in a hunting lodge, or a home – especially near a fireplace.
