Hunting for Whitetail Deer, Black Bears and Moose in Alberta,
Canada
|
Whether
your prize be a moose, whitetail deer or trophy black bear, Alberta Canada
is the place hunt. Hunting in the heart of Alberta big game country maximizes
the success ratio of your hunt. To greet you in Edmonton will be Ken Steinhauer,
the owner/manager of Alberta Native Guide Service. Whitetail deer hunts,
moose and black bear hunts in Alberta are unparalleled. The lure of hunting
in Alberta has drawn hunters to one of the great hunting areas of the
world!
We have designed hunts for whitetail deer, black bear and moose aimed
at the ideal times of the year for each animal. With the abundance of
big game available in each of the areas in which Alberta Native Guide
Service has it's commercial licenses, all of the hunters have an excellent
opportunity at harvesting a trophy. Over 80% have taken that trophy!
Saddle
Lake Reserve is roughly 1 1/2 hours drive Northeast of Edmonton and is
one of the best natural topographies in Alberta for Whitetail Deer. The
Reserve is bordered on the south by one of the largest river valleys in
the province, the North Saskatchewan River Valley. This, combined with
a good concentration of prime agricultural development that produces coarse
grains and alfalfa, it practically spells deer!
Whitetail
Deer Hunt: our goal is to get the hunter a trophy whitetail buck,
which we consider the biggest deer the hunter has ever taken. Our operation
is by far one of the most successful in the province of Alberta. Over
the last three years, all of our hunters had an opportunity at a quality
size whitetail buck (140 plus) with a success rate of over 80 %. We average
an incredible three shots or attempts for every actual kill. Proficiency
with your gun is the most essential thing to bring on this hunt. Includes
hunting for coyote and wolf, along with the whitetail deer hunt. Fishing
is also available in most areas at no extra charge, with the exception
of the license.
Accomodations for Whitetail Deer Hunt: fit for a King with all
of our hunters staying at motels, bed and breakfasts or truck stops where
the food is good and the service is better.
Black
Bear Hunting: we use the "Spot and Stalk" method of hunting black
bears. With the Spot and Stalk method we actually go out and look for
black bears by driving around the bears habitat in pick up trucks and
ATV's. Once spotted, it's back to good old fashioned hunting, as we stalk
them to within a good shooting range.
The Black Bear Hunting Camp: the camp is equipped to handle six black
bear hunters per hunt. The hunters stay in heated tents and all the meals
are Home cooked by the camp cook. You will definitely enjoy the wilderness
of Alberta Canada!
MooseHunting: The hunt will start on the 1st of November
and go until the 11th. With the ground frozen and the snow, it makes tracking
the animals much easier. The
moose hunt is done largely by foot. This means walking. Even so, it's
not a particularly physically demanding hunt. The walking is very slow
and not overly tiring. In some areas we also use ATVs, and depending on
the snow conditions, snowmobiles can also be used. All moose hunts with
the exception of one area, are on a one to one basis.
Lodging
for Moose Hunts: all these hunts will be done out of lodges and bed
and breakfasts.
